The lack of heat creates opportunities
Industry insiders pointed out that China's heating energy structure is in urgent need of adjustment, heat source coal cogeneration accounted for 48%, coal boiler accounted for 33%. By 2016, China's clean heating area of 6.9 billion square meters, clean heating rate of 34%, there are 66% need to be transformed or replaced.
The latest data shows that the northern region accounts for 59.8% of the country's total area. The central heating area increased from 2.92 billion square meters in 2007 to 8.16 billion cubic meters in 2017.
Winter heating in northern China is a major disaster area for air pollution control. However, since the beginning of winter, the price of natural gas is still rising. In addition, natural gas is a scarce resource in China. According to statistics, the annual import volume of natural gas accounts for 40% of the total international natural gas trade.
Therefore, many regions prefer "electricity instead of coal" and replace coal heating with energy-saving and environment-friendly air energy heat pumps. For example, Beijing, tianjin, shanxi and other places, many families have installed air energy heat pumps. "Since the heat pump was installed, there is no more coal ash in the house. Heat pump heating has obvious advantages

Heat pump has become an important way of non-coal heat source, especially in the past two years has been widely used. In 2016, the heating area of buildings in northern China was about 20.6 billion cubic meters. Among all kinds of heat sources, heat pump heating was about 670 million square meters, accounting for 3.3% of the total heating area and 19.4% of non-coal heat sources. In 2017-2018, 208 million square meters of heat pumps were added, accounting for up to 60% of the new non-coal and non-natural gas heat sources.
Xu wei told reporters: "the large-scale implementation of air source heat pump heating in the north has achieved the heating effect, the operating cost is low, and the air source heat pump system operates well. Take the heat pump project in the cultural center of jining city, shandong province as an example, heat pump accounts for 67% of the annual energy consumption of the system, and the electricity bill for heating operation in winter accounts for 67% of the annual electricity bill. Compared with gas-fired boilers, it can reduce over 7,400 tons of carbon dioxide, 54.86 tons of sulfur dioxide and 27.43 tons of soot per year.

"During the 13th five-year plan period, the scale of heat pump application in China is expected to reach 6.5 million households. By 2030, the scale of heat pump application is expected to reach 2 billion square meters, which will form an economic scale of about 40 billion yuan and reduce the concentration of PM2.5 by 1.9 micrograms per cubic meter.
